Lionel Lye has been in the finance industry ever since he stepped into the working world. Being an entrepreneur, he is also a business owner. Uprooting himself from his birth country, Singapore, Lionel came to Australia with just two luggage (s). The multi-racial and accepting Sydney prompted him to call Australia home.
After graduating from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Economics, Lionel started work in the investment banking realm as an Operation Analyst (in Credit Suisse). He climbed the corporate ladder and had also worked for Citi (bank) and Royal Bank of Scotland. Subsequently, fuelled with his other passions in coaching and fitness, he started his own company, providing consultancy and support services. His clients were mainly from the from events management, education enrichment and fitness industry.
Subsequently, Lionel wanted to further his skills and expand his horizon. Hence, he chose to pursue his Master of Professional Accountancy with Macquarie University. Upon graduation, he took on a role with Westpac as a Personal Banker specializing in mortgages before leaving Westpac as a business banker. Being a home owner and investor himself, he knows the pains of both home buyers and investors when it comes to buying a property and choosing the right service provider with the right finance product. Thus, Lionel decided to venture to an independent arena to provide more options for clients as a Finance Broker, offering clients more than 30 lenders in the market.
With his personal experience, he could also empathise the new migrant community. Being able to converse in both English and Mandarin, he is able to serve a wide spectrum of clients. They include first home buyers, everyday to wealthy investors and also newly migrated clients. They could put their trust in Lionel to professionally advise them on their needs.
